Rare GEORGIUS Variety
Attractive glossy medium brown blending to medium chocolate brown in the fields and protected areas. The planchet is smooth and free of any notable contact marks, but there are a half dozen small voids on the reverse, mostly at the waist of the seated figure (as struck). A small, curved planchet clip just right of the date does not affect any of the design elements. Nicely centered on the planchet. The date and legends are complete and strong. A very nice example of this very rare variety, and the GEORGIUS error is bold. The obverse is superior to the Vlack plate coin. Weight 141.6 grains.
