Technically Very Fine but there are numerous small rim dents around both sides. Rather glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Most of the planchet is smooth but there are traces of microscopic roughness in protected areas plus a few planchet flaws. The notable flaws are a thin lamination on the bust and a more obvious fissure from the rim slanting to the waist of the seated figure. Nicely centered with a clear date and legends. The “Punctuated Date” feature is clear (comma between the first 7 and following 8). Later die state with swelling in the field before the portrait and a narrow rim cud above the head of the seated figure. Weight 127.8 grains.
