Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with smooth surfaces and no notable planchet flaws, only microscopic chips of no significance. Another piece that has very different sharpness grades for the obverse and reverse because of the die states. The obverse has full legends; the reverse is worn and swollen thanks to an overused die, and most of the legends on that side are weak or missing. The only notable marks are a few light vertical scratches at the top of the obverse. A minor straight-edge clip just touches the tops of NNE in CONNEC. A decent example of this extremely rare variety in spite of the wear. Not as sharply detailed as the Perkins example but with better planchet quality. A variety that was missing from the Ford collection. Weight 126.2 grains.
