A “Spiny Tree” Variety. Glossy light to medium steel gray with lighter steel toning on the highpoints. There are a half dozen small, shallow dents on the reverse (date side) that created minor bulges on the obverse resulting in uneven wear on that side. Otherwise the only notable defect is a small planchet fissure at the A in ENGLAND. The obverse is slightly off center to K-5 (as usual) while the reverse is centered on the planchet. The date and denomination are both strong and the legends are easily readable. Weight 68.7 grains.
