Slightly glossy medium brown with dark olive brown in protected areas. Microscopic roughness and myriad fine hairline scratches cover the planchet. An incipient planchet clip over the O in AUCTORI and a diagonal nick on the leg of the seated figure are good identifying marks. The date is strong and the legends are complete and easily readable in spite of weakness on a few letters. Weight 140.2 grains.
