Glossy light to medium brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Minor chipping shows on both sides and there is a linear fissure slanting down into the head on the obverse. The portrait is covered with myriad faint hairline scratches that are visible only under magnification. The obverse is slightly off center to K-1.5; the reverse is off center just a tiny bit to the bottom leaving the bottom edge of the date off the planchet. Weight 104.9 grains.
