Struck over a NOVA CONSTELLATIO. Rather glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Mostly smooth with trivial roughness in protected areas. The only notable defects are a few fine vertical scratches on the portrait. The obverse is slightly off center to K-10.5 while the reverse is nearly centered on the planchet. The undertype NOVA CONSTELLATIO is clearly evident on both sides. Later die state with swelling in the field behind the portrait. The date and legends are complete except for the tops of TORI that are off the planchet. Superior to the Perkins and Ford examples. Weight 102.5 grains.
