Glossy medium brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints of the devices. Smooth and virtually flawless. Minor planchet chipping on the head and the opposing globe on the reverse and a thin lamination at the rim at the top of Britannia’s staff are the only defects (as struck). Struck slightly off center to K-7 but the date and legends are complete and strong. A very nice example of this tough variety, superior to the Perkins, Ford, and Taylor examples. Weight 124.0 grains.
