Glossy light to medium brown with chocolate brown toning in the fields and protected areas. The surfaces are smooth, void of any granularity or corrosion, but there are a few contact marks. The notable marks are two small rim nicks over the second A in CAESAREA, a larger rim nick right of the bottom of the shield, and a few old scratches left of the bottom of the shield. Late die state with a die crack at EA to the end of the plow and obvious swelling that nearly obliterates those letters and the end of the plow. The date and rest of the legends are strong. Weight 135.5 grains.
