Glossy medium brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The obverse is a bit better, the reverse weaker thanks to a worn-out die. The surfaces are smooth except for a thin fissure at the bottom of the bust and a larger void at the top of the staff on the reverse. There are a couple small spots of fine carbon on the reverse but no notable contact marks. The obverse is slightly off center to K-5; the reverse is off a bit more to K-1.5. Later die state with weakness on the reverse. The date is complete and clear. Weight 128.6 grains.
