Perhaps a bit sharper but there are specks of raised corrosion at AUCT and there is extremely faint granularity under the rather glossy chocolate brown toning. The highpoints are a lighter shade of steel brown and this piece has excellent eye appeal in spite of the minor distractions. No contact marks. Struck slightly off center to K-4 leaving the top of ET off the planchet. The entire date is strong (most have the first 7 weak) and the rest of the legends are clear. Clearly sharper than the Perkins example that was called “Probable Second Finest Known” in that sale. Weight 155.7 grains.
