Significantly sharper where properly struck but the dies were not in proper axial alignment (die faces not perfectly parallel) leaving the right sides weak and the left sides strong. Slightly glossy medium to dark chocolate brown. Looks smooth but a glass shows there is uniform microscopic granularity covering the planchet. No verdigris. The only notable mark is a thin nick at the rim right of the denominator. E-MDS, Breen state II, with fine die clashmarks on both sides but before any swelling in the left obverse field. The reverse is rotated 25 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot orientation.
