Light brown with some uniform light roughness to the surface. There is an old scratch from the rim through star 2 to Liberty’s ear and another from star 4 to the coronet. The reverse is nicer with the full bisecting crack and the dramatic raised retained rim cud at TATE of STATES. The finest known example of this rare die state.
