Glossy mix of medium brown and chocolate with reddish brown toning in protected areas on the obverse. The surfaces are mostly smooth but there are some minor planchet fissures on the cheek and neck plus a couple more under the D in INDE. Would rate a slightly higher grade but there are traces of shallow verdigris at EC in CONNEC. The date and legends are bold. A very nice example of this tough variety, far superior to the Perkins example. Weight 138.0 grains.
