Glossy medium brown. An attractive piece with smooth surfaces but the area behind the portrait and Britannia has been flattened a bit, especially on the reverse. The flaw looks a like a mint error on the obverse where CONNEC is complete and easily readable although there is a shelf through most of those letters, but the opposing area on the reverse is just flattened. The attribution is noted in light yellow ink in the field before the portrait. Weight 124.9 grains.
