Lustrous chocolate with faded red. Very flatly struck, but the color looks ok to me and somewhat typical of the variety. Flowline luster. Little if any wear and mark free surfaces. A conundrum in terms of technical grading. Certainly an important coin. The census includes VFs among the top ten coins.
