Rather glossy dark olive brown and steel. The surfaces are reasonably smooth but a glass reveals extremely fine roughness covering both sides. No verdigris and the only planchet flaw is a small fissure or chip on the obverse rim at K-9. Both sides are covered with tiny contact marks, none notable but too many to ignore. The lower half of the obverse is clearly swollen causing extra wear on those devices but everything else is clear and the date is strong. Not as sharp as the Perkins and Ford examples but this one has fewer planchet flaws. Certainly comparable to the Taylor example. Weight 125.1 grains.
